The competitive identity behind the Punisher name. Pollock brought the mentality of an elite athlete into racehorse ownership and the development of Punisher 11 Stable.
Built on competition. Driven by the pursuit of elite horses. Punisher 11 Stable brings together ownership, horsemanship and the determination to compete at the highest level.
The Punisher 11 identity began long before harness racing. It came from Bill Pollock's years competing at the highest levels of slow-pitch softball — and from a nickname earned in competition.
Pollock was a 13-time All-American softball player. During his playing days, surrounded by powerful hitters with nicknames of their own, Pollock became known as “The Punisher.”
“Everybody was big, everybody was strong, everybody had nicknames hitting home runs, so I was ‘The Punisher.’
— BILL POLLOCK
One of Pollock's teams went 132-13 while traveling the country. Years later, when Pollock joined longtime friend Bruce Areman in harness racing, that competitive identity followed him. The nickname and Pollock's No. 11 jersey became the foundation for a new racing identity: Punisher 11 Stable.
Punisher 11 brings together Bill Pollock, Bruce Areman and trainer Andrew Harris — an ownership partnership built around competition, opportunity and finding horses capable of performing on major stages.
